Barows Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) may obtain personal information from users in connection with the provision of the application “Emu” (hereinafter referred to as “the Service”). The Company recognizes that the protection of personal information obtained from users is a social responsibility and will handle such information appropriately in accordance with the following basic policy.

Article 1: Basic Policy

(1) The Company will take appropriate measures to ensure that personal information is not handled beyond the scope necessary to achieve the specified purposes of use.
(2) The Company will comply with laws, government guidelines, and other regulations regarding the handling of personal information.
(3) The Company will implement necessary and appropriate security measures to prevent and correct the leakage, loss, or damage of personal information handled by the Company.
(4) The Company will accept complaints and inquiries from individuals regarding the handling of personal information and its personal information protection management system, and will respond appropriately.
(5) The Company will strive for continuous improvement of its personal information protection management system, including this policy.

Article 2: Acquisition of Personal Information

In providing the Service, the Company will obtain the following information. Personal information obtained through the Service shall be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy:


(1) Unique IDs of app users (device-specific IDs of smartphones or unique IDs assigned to the installed app)
(2) Information necessary for the shipment of prizes to sweepstakes winners, such as name, email address, postal address, and telephone number
(3) Email address and password required for account registration for data transfer purposes
(4) Fitness-related information (for Android devices, obtained via Google Fit through Health Connect provided by Google LLC; for iOS devices, obtained via the Health app provided by Apple Inc.)     

Article 3: Use of Personal Information

The Company will use personal information obtained only for the following purposes:
(1) Management of sweepstakes application history, identification of winners, notification of winners, monitoring of service usage, and responding to inquiries
(2) Shipment of prizes to sweepstakes winners
(3) External publication of information on past winners, including the awarded prize, registered nickname, and prefecture
(4) Provision of data transfer functionality via accounts

In the event that a user requests deletion of their user account, the Company will delete the user’s information including personal information. However, the Company may retain part of the user-related data (such as ticket exchange history or activity logs) in a non-identifiable form to the extent necessary for service operation.

Article 4: Disclosure of Personal Information

The Company will not disclose or provide personal information to any third party except in the following cases:
(1) With the consent of the user
(2) When required by law
(3) When necessary to protect human life, body, or property, and obtaining consent is difficult
(4) When provided in a form that does not allow identification of individuals
(5) When necessary for the shipment of prizes to sweepstakes winners

Article 5: Analysis of Traffic Data

o improve the convenience of the Service and for system operation and analysis, the Company uses technologies that confirm the usage status of the same user by utilizing device-specific IDs. This involves obtaining traffic data between the app and the server and using statistically processed data in a way that does not allow individual identification for analysis purposes.
